GET INVOLVED

Help make the community a better place to work and live by volunteering with Dog River Clearwater Revival (DRCR). As an all volunteer, grassroots organization, DRCR depends on the participation of citizens like you. Whether you can donate an hour or a day, there is an opportunity for you to make a difference in the Dog River Watershed.


Volunteer Opportunities

Keep It Clean

Place trash cans at entrances to your business. Add the "Keep It Clean" sticker. We will provide the stickers.
Identify businesses to participate in this program.


Dog River Park Improvements

Help make this part into the jewel of the park system.

Water Monitoring

Test water samples once a month. Takes about an hour a month after half day certification class.

Storm Drain Markers

This project is very flexible. You can do it when you want for as long as you like. Most any age group can participate. The project consistsGlue four-inch disks onto storm drains and record their location.

Watchdogs

Monitor permits and land development to help prevent stormwater runoff. Reward construction sites that are using proper best management practices to prevent run-off.

Dog River Guardians

These volunteers agree to follow environmentally sound measures around the home for the benefit of DRW.

Board of Directors

The board meets once a month for an hour. Board members can have a direct impact on DRCR projects and direction.

Serve on a Committee

Education and Outreach

DRCR will speak to your group to educate and inform about DRW.
DRCR needs people willing to be a speaker for our presentations.

Grant Writing and Research

Apply for and manage grants. Monies are needed for all DRCR projects.

Special Events

Help promote and organize River Cleanups, Dog Paddle, general meetings and other events.

Member Recruitment

Host a neighborhood get together or fund raiser.
Serve on the membership committee.
Manage database.

Litter Barrier

Need volunteers to monitor effectiveness.

Telephone Tree

Help get the word out by calling a list of names to notify of meetings and events.
